Obituary: Wynhoff, Ella M.

WYNHOFF, Ella M. (Age 73) Ella peacefully met her infant son and parents in Heaven on Saturday, January 26th, 2013.

She was born to John and Pearl Floyd on June 23, 1939 in Toppenish, WA and married her high school sweetheart, John Wynhoff, in Seattle, WA on March 30, 1957.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, John, of 55 years; her surviving children, Barbara Wynhoff, Shirley (Denny) Hart, Robert Wynhoff, Terri (Willie) Miller; grandchildren, Amber (Anthony) Swim, Whitney Pen, Joseph Miller, Taylor Fleming-Hart; McKinsey Hart, Kelsey Miller; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Rebekka Swim; brothers, Earl (Carol) Floyd and Bruce Floyd; sisters, Marie Shumate, Judi Peiffer, and Patsy Floyd; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Waiting for her arrival in Heaven were her parents, her son Raymond and her sister Joan.

In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Ella was a Cub Scout mom, the Secretary of the Eastern Washington Jr. Rodeo Association for many years, founder of the Maverick Jr. Rodeo Team and rodeo mom to many young cowboys and cowgirls.

For over 20 years, she sat on the board of the North Spokane Irrigation District #8.

During August and September, Ella and John could be found selling their prized gladiolas in their front yard, which her and John hand-planted every year in their half-acre flower garden.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 4 pm on Friday, February 15th, at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council, 6116 N. Market, Spokane, WA 99217.
