Obituary: Watley, Fred

WATLEY, Fred Fred Watley passed away December 24, 2013 at 2:18 a.m. Fred went peacefully surrounded by LiAnne his wife of 17 years; son, Royale; and stepdaughters, Danielle Mercer and LaTasha Matthew.

Fred worked as a Skilled Coach at the Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations for over 16 years.

He loved his family and his job.

Fred was an example of living a clean and sober life.

He touch lives, young and all spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.

Fred was an accomplished author.

He was proud of his rap CD about his life’s journey.

His plight led to the establishment of legislative bill 1308 in Washington State that protects employees when employers change their insurance providers.

Employees will not lose their insurance coverage status by being required to wait on a six-month waiting period nor subject to pre-existing health issues limitations.

He loved roller skating throughout his life and especially with he and his son.

He also enjoyed playing on games on X box.

He is survived his wife, LiAnne; son, Royale; sister, Jean Watley (Tacoma, WA); niece, Tijuana Bebbs (Fayetteville, NC); nephews, Earl Williams (Tacoma, WA) and Leon Williams (Nicole); grand nieces and nephews, O’Shara Greene (Antioch, Tennessee), Tiara and Frank Bebbs (Shenice) of Atlanta, Georgia); great niece and nephew, Menaysha Greene (Antioch, Tennessee) and Frank E. Bebbs IV (Atlanta); stepdaughters, Michelle Mercer (Yakima, WA), Latasha Matthews and Danielle Mercer (Spokane,WA); Jeremy Deatley (Seattle, WA); step grand son, D’Antrey; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 10 AM at the Ball & Dodd Funeral Home.

Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
