Obituary: Root, Marion Stahl

ROOT, Marion Stahl (Age 97) Passed away peacefully on November 16, 2013 in Spokane, WA.

She was a gracious and beautiful woman of God.

She wrote in her memoirs “My greatest joy in life has been my family.”

Marion is survived by her two sons, Bob Root (Merrybeth) of Spokane and Jerry Root (Deb) of Harbor Springs, MI; three daughters, Marilyn McQuaid of Bellevue, WA, Debbie Amend (Robin) of Spokane, and Donna McKee of Mead, WA; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Root, as well as two grandchildren.

She was an active member of Manito Methodist Church, and more recently First Presbyterian Church of Spokane.

She was a member of Knife and Fork Club and Silver Lanes Bowling league.

Marion also served as leader to the Campfire Girls.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 30th, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar, Spokane, at 10:30am with Pastor Don Meekhof officiating.

Private inurnment will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane.
