Obituary: Adams, Bernard E.

Age 74

ADAMS, Bernard E. (Age 74) Passed suddenly December 21, 2013 in Spokane, WA.

Bernie was born October 10, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Grace Gobel and Charles Adams.

He was a graduate of Peoria High School in 1957.

He married his beautiful and caring wife of 37 years Ileen (Smithson) Buell on August 13, 1976 in Las Vegas, NV.

He is survived by his loving daughter Debbie; sons Gary, Wayne (Diane), John (Rene); and stepson Paul (Stacy); as well as his brother Bill (Norma); and sister-in-law Mickey.

He had eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Phil and Wayne; sister Grace; and son Kevin.

He was the strongest man anyone knew.

As a police dispatcher in La Verne, CA., he helped countless people and saved many lives.

He shared his love of sports with his family as a coach, mentor, and in his last few years as an avid fan of his grandchildren.

As a woodworker he created amazing works of art and shared them with his family and many others.

Always our rock he was a tough, loyal, and loving father and husband, who would do anything for those he treasured.

As per his request no memorial service will be held.
