Mead product Olgard named All-American

Former Mead High standout Alexis Olgard was one of four USC volleyball players to receive AVCA All-American honors.

Olgard, a senior, was selected to the third team. Trojans teammates Natalie Hagglund (first team), Ebony Nwanebu (first team, national freshman of the year) and Samantha Bricio (second team) also were honored.

Olgard, a first-team All-Pac-12 selection, ranked eighth nationally with a .442 hitting percentage, the second-highest percentage in USC history. She ranked ninth in career blocks with 393.
