Also in attendance were dancers from Post Falls High School and Royal High School in Moses Lake.

Board advisers picked

Kelsey Pravitz, a senior at On Track Academy, and Scott Hinshaw, a junior at Shadle Park High School, were recently chosen by the Spokane Public Schools Board of Directors to serve as student advisers to the school board for the 2013-14 school year. The students will be nonvoting members and will provide student perspective to board discussions.

Pravitz is a member and co-manager of her school’s FIRST robotics team. She is also involved with Jobs for Washington’s Graduates and is a volunteer for the Salvation Army.

Hinshaw volunteers with the children’s ministry at his church and with the Northwest Christian Thrift Store. He’s also on Shadle’s football and track and field teams.
