Obituary: Wynn, Mary Luella (Birge)

WYNN, Mary Luella (Birge) (Age 90) Mary left us to be with the Lord and other loved ones on Tuesday April 16, 2013.

She was at home with her daughter at that time.

Our precious mother was born on October 2, 1922 in Wilder, Idaho to Eva Mae Josephine Birge (Hurst) and Lloyd Orlando Birge.

She married Ralph Samuel Wynn on April 8, 1938.

Mary was employed as a cook for most of her life.

She and Ralph operated the Rosalia Steak House in Rosalia, Washington for 13 years.

For the final 20 years she worked for the Council on Aging of Whitman County as a site cook at various sites within the County.

She loved her work there and always did lil’ extras for the seniors that attended the weekly meals.

She retired at the age of 78.

She moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin to live with her youngest daughter Connie and son-in-law Brian in 2009.

She was a true baseball fan-she attended three major league baseball games at Miller Stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and became an avid Brewers fan, learning the names and positions of each of the players.

She attended the 2011 game that cinched the NL Central Championship - “a once in a life time experience” she told me.

Prince Fielder and Ricky Weeks were “her boys” as she called them.

When she lived in Washington State the Seattle Mariners was her favorite team.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd, daughters, Patsy Ann, and Sylvia Kaye, mother-in-law Della Jones, great-granddaughter Mandy, husband Ralph, brother-in-law Robert Wynn, granddaughters Jennifer, Rachel Marie, and Kimberly Ann, mother Eva, stepfather George Fuller, sisters Myrtle and Emma, brother-in-law Luke, niece Lavonne and her husband Charles.

She is survived by her children: Clara Elaine McArthur (Archie), Mary Evelyn Bair, Connie Sue Schuetz (Brian), son Frankie Duane Wynn (Kathy), grandchildren: Michael McArthur (DeeDee), Kathy McArthur, Sheryl Raddas (Ron), Shelly Easton-Keele (Brad), Tracey Easton (Jennifer), David Barnes (Sara), Bryson Barnes (Beth), Christopher Schuessler, Frank Wynn Jr (Jenn), Garrick Wynn (Erin), great-grandchildren: Dianna Munzo (Manuel), Shelly Logan (Theron), Daniel McArthur, Kelsie Raddas, Alex Raddas, Jessie Louis, Annie Marshall (Jeremy), Chereen Louis, Kayla Easton, Cody Easton, Bradley Easton, Ryder Easton, Brooklin Barnes, Keough Barnes, Wyatt Barnes, Angeliquia Barnes, Samyra Barnes, Pandora Barnes, Alexandra “Alex” Keele and Ally Keele; and way too many great-great-grandchildren to mention - Akilah Louis and Mila Wynn are two lil’ great-great- grandchildren that I can remember off the top of my head.

Mama would like to say goodbye to all her loved ones, friends, and past co-workers at a graveside service at 11am, to be held at the Rosalia Cemetery on Saturday, April 27, 2013 with the Honorable Mark Mewhinney officiating.

There will be a celebration for Mary at the Spangle Service Club following the service from 1pm-4pm, please stop by and share this very special time with us.

Thank you all from her family.
