Signed The NHL’s Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Cam Fowler to a five-year contract extension Saturday through the 2017-18 season. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. The 20-year-old Fowler had five goals and 24 assists in 82 games last season

• The Nashville Predators signed defenseman Kevin Klein to a five-year, $14.5 million NHL contract. The 27-year-old Klein had four goals and 17 assists in 66 regular-season games last season, and added two goals and two assists in 10 playoff games.

• The Bruins signed forward Milan Lucic to a three-year contract extension. The deal will pay $6 million annually and will make him the highest-paid forward on the NHL team. Lucic, a second-round choice in 2006, was a key cog in Boston’s run to the 2011 Stanley Cup.

Agreed The Winnipeg Jets agreed to a contract with restricted free-agent forward Evander Kane, about 30 minutes before the NHL’s collective bargaining agreement expired. The 21-year-old Kane has 30 goals and 27 assists in 74 games last season.

Re-signed The Buffalo Sabres re-signed forward Tyler Ennis to a two-year NHL contract. A person familiar with the contract said the deal is worth $5.625 million. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Sabres did not disclose financial terms.

Confirmed British boxer Amir Khan confirms he has left his trainer Freddie Roach as he looks to revive his career after two losses over the last year. Khan said in a Twitter post that they “had a good professional chat and maybe in the future we work together.” Khan lost his WBC and WBA light-welterweight titles with a defeat to American Danny Garcia.

Hospitalized Jockey Samy Camacho has been hospitalized after his mount broke down and unseated him during the second race at Monmouth Park. Angelo Chinnici, the track’s medical director, said the 24-year-old apprentice was alert after the spill. Camacho was taken to a hospital for X-rays and evaluation of head and “lower extremity” injuries.
