Obituary: Watts, Robert Clay

Age 92

WATTS, Robert Clay

Passed away October 11, 2012 in Spokane.

He was born October 18, 1920 in Wilbur, WA the son of Eugene and Julia Mabel (Entenmann) Watts.

Robert served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy.

He was on the Navy Destroyer USS Pringle, DD-477, and became one of the last survivors of that ship’s sinking.

He spent most of his working career in the sales of carpet and floor coverings, and in his latter working career he worked as a cook for the Spokane Club.

Robert is survived by his son Kenneth K. Watts of Spokane; his grandson Kevin P. Watts of Spokane; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son Randal C. Watts in 1992.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 1pm and will be conducted at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA.
