North Spokane fire confined to second-floor bedroom
The Red Cross is housing the four occupants of a North Spokane home damaged in a fire early this morning.
Spokane Fire Department crews responded at 12:47 a.m. to the fire in a single-family home at 1907 E. North Foothills Drive. Fire crews were able to confine the fire to a bedroom on the second floor, a news release from the Fire Department said.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. Some 22 firefighters responded.
The fire appears to have started in the bedroom, but the cause is under investigation.
Damage to the home was estimated at $15,000, the release said.
