George Lee
George traveled his final journey on February 29, 2012 to be with his Lord and Savior.
Born in Tazewell, Virginia on April 9, 1932 and traveling west to Spokane while in the Air Force he met his bride of almost 58 years Sharron (Mackey) Dye.
He graduated from EWU with a teaching degree and went on to attain his Master’s Degree from Whitworth University.
He was on the Faculty at Deer Park School District for 25 years and then retired to travel the U.S. in his motor home with his wife, mother-in-law and often times his children.
George was an active member of Northview Bible Church and Gideon International.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother spending time camping, golfing and fishing with his children and grandchildren.
George is survived by his wife Sharron, their three children Renee (Randy) Bertrand, Karen (Jerel) Rowe, and Thomas (Lisha) Dye, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, his mother-in-law Alta Mackey, and his sister Meda (Conn) Holbrook.
He took great pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow to become successful adults.
A graveside service will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Medical Lake on March 9, 2012 at 9:45 followed by an 11:00 memorial service at Northview Bible Church located at 13521 N. Mill Rd.
Spokane.
