Maxine Joyce
(Mann)

Passed away peacefully on June 17, 2012 in Spokane, WA.

Maxine was born April 26, 1929 in Terry, MT.

Growing up she lived in Dalkena, WA, later moving to and settling in Newport, WA.

In 1947 she graduated from Newport High School, and soon met, then married the love of her life MW “Jack” Jones.

Briefly employed at the Pend Oreille County Extension Office and Advanced Input Devices, raising family was her passion.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Crocheting was one of her favorite activities, contributing hundreds of winter hats to those in need.

Maxine enjoyed traveling, camping, horseshoes and most of all, spending time with her family.

Maxine is survived by sons Herb (Lynne) Jones, Mike (Imo) Jones; daughters, Irene Wengeler and Heidi (Alan) Shustoff; nine grandchildren; seven great-grand- children; sister Ireta Shuholm of CA, along with friend Jim Matthews.

Maxine was preceded in death by Jack in 1989.

Thank you to Rockwood Cancer Treatment Center, Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, Pastor Mark Wheeler, Visitation Pastor Kathy Sandusky, and Royal Park Care Facility.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:30 am at Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church (4449 N. Nevada St.) in Spokane, WA.

Private family inurnment will be held at Newport Cemetery.
