Fairfield Flag Day - Fairfield celebrates its 102nd Flag Day celebration with events in various locations. Highlights include a firemen’s breakfast from 7-9:30 a.m. at the Fairfield Community Center, a fun run, children’s parade at 10:30 a.m., a grand parade at 11 a.m. and entertainment and vendors in Thiel Park all day. 21st Annual Pride Parade and Rainbow Festival - This year’s theme is Stand Up! Speak Out! Spark Change! The LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Allied) community, family and friends come together and march with banners, or ride in cars, on floats or on bikes. Friends of Manito plant sale - Find more than 400 plant varieties, including peonies, hostas, hydrangeas and clematis. Planting and composting activities for kids. Spokane Braille Rally and Car Show for the Blind - Second annual rally with teams of consisting of two people, a sighted driver and a navigator who is blind and reads out the directions from Braille. Featuring a hands-on car show of vintage, unique and speciality vehicles to be judged by the blind solely on touch and feel. 9th Annual Parade of Paws Pledge Walk - Participants have been collecting pledges and will enjoy a two or four-mile walk with their dog, a friend’s dog or no dog at all. Funds raised will help provide nutritional food, clean and safe shelter, play time and training, veterinary care and love to our community’s unwanted companion animals.
