82 Years of Life

A very longtime resident and rancher in the Williams Valley area of Deer Park, Washington, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Raymond is the dear husband of Frieda May Jurgens, married 64 years, and the loving father and father-in- law of Timothy Allen and Tera Jurgens of Newport, Washington, Larry Ralph and Darla Jurgens of Edmonds, Washington, Linda and Jim Bridges of Spokane, Washington, Lorrie and Don James and Joyce and Dan Sims of Deer Park.

Raymond is brother an brother-in-law to Irvin and Laura Jurgens of Boise, Idaho, Dean and Georgia Jurgens of Lewiston, Idaho, Kenneth Jurgens of Piedmont, Alabama, Lois and Gary Rumley of Chewelah, Washington, and Joann and Ralph Holliday of Deer Park.

He enjoyed spending time with his eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Their son, Gary Raymond Jurgens has preceded him in death.

Born in 1929 at Four Mound near Nine Mile Falls, Washington, Raymond attended the Burroughs Grade School and graduated from Deer Park High School with the Class of 1946.

He attended the Inland Empire School of the Bible/Moody Bible School in the 1970s.

Raymond was a farmer, drove school bus, and retired from the Deer Park School District as maintenance supervisor in 1991.

He and Frieda are members of the Northview Bible Church and the Williams Valley Grange.

Funeral Services honoring Mr. Jurgens will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Northview Bible Church in north Spokane with his son-in-law, Pastor Jim Bridges, officiating.

Interment will precede the services at 9:00 A.M. at the Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park.
