EVANS, Judith Marie “Judy” (Kirk)
Of Plano, TX passed away
at her home June 12, 2012 of complications from Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia.
She was born in Wenatchee, WA on August 24, 1948, the daughter of John (Jack) H. Kirk, Sr. and Emma Marie (Starzman) Kirk.
She was the mother of
twins Alana Marie Evans and David Kirk Evans, and daughter Jana Bernice Evans.
When her disease became debilitating, she posted the Dr. Seuss quote: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened” on her bathroom mirror.
Her graceful, gentle and caring demeanor brings to mind a passage from the Talmud: “The highest form of wisdom is kindness.
“She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Kirk.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Evans, Plano, TX; father Jack Kirk, Brewster, WA; brother John H. Kirk, Jr. and wife Cathi, Brewster, WA; brother Joel D. Kirk and wife Debbie, Brewster, WA; brother Jay Bernard Kirk and wife Laura, Plano, TX; sister Jane Leah Bernice (Kirk) McGuire and husband Patrick (Pat), Brewster, WA; former sister-in-law Linda (Evans) Holden, Omak, WA; daughter Alana Marie Evans and husband David Y. Huang of Carlsbad, CA; son David Kirk Evans and wife Lisa Tanaka of Tokyo, Japan; daughter Jana Bernice Evans and fiancĂŠ Marco Rosichelli of Helena, MT; grandchildren Scout Evans Huang, Carlsbad, CA; and Alan Yoshiyuki Tanaka Evans, Tokyo, Japan.
