Klum, Seal to split after ‘soul searching’

The seemingly perfect marriage of Seal and Heidi Klum is heading to an end.

In a statement Sunday night, the power couple announced their separation. They say after “much soul searching” they’ve decided to separate, and blame the breakup on “growing apart.”

The couple have four children, including the supermodel’s daughter from a previous relationship. The couple asked for privacy and said the breakup is “amicable.”

The singer and model were one of the most high-profile celebrity couples, and often talked about their tight relationship. They even renewed their vows on each anniversary.

They married in 2005.

Schwarzenegger touts green energy

Austria’s most famous living son, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is proud of his record of greening California while governor. So his visit to the Austrian town of Guessing, which meets its energy needs through renewables, was fitting.

In both Guessing and California, “the world has already become a better one,” he told fans and dignitaries gathered in his honor Sunday.

After a lunch of Wiener schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn – chopped up pancakes with jam – the “Terminator” star toured the village’s energy plants, describing his push for green energy as “my crusade.”

And yes, he did say, “I’ll be back.”

Oprah sure of Obama’s odds

Oprah Winfrey says she is confident that President Barack Obama will win another four-year term in this year’s U.S. election.

The talk show host was addressing a literary festival Sunday in the northwestern Indian town of Jaipur.

Winfrey praised Obama’s handling of the presidency. She said his next four years would be even more successful, with people able to get back to work.

Winfrey backed Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign in her first-ever political endorsement.

Winfrey has been in India for a week filming programs for her new TV network.
