City of Spokane: Move cars off streets
Too many cars are still parked on the streets for City of Spokane plows to do an effective job, a city spokeswoman said this morning.
“There are still too many cars being parked on arterials, residential hills routes 20 and above, and residential areas,” spokeswoman Ann Deasy said in an e-mail to media.
The city reminds drivers to move their cars to the odd side of the street until plows have passed.
Cars that are in the way could get a $30 ticket.
The city declared a stage 2 snow emergency Thursday night, which calls for all streets to be plowed, a process that is expected to take up to four days.
