Mary Jo Lantz was granted her angel wings on February 20th, 2012.

She was surrounded by her friends and family in the day leading up to her flight back home in the Heavens.

MJ graduated from North Central High School in 1971.

MJ was a lover of all animals, especially dogs.

She enjoyed her volunteer work at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

MJ was extremely talented in collĂĄge art and was an avid reader (possible book hoarder) and creative writer.

She was also known for her gifted green thumb and many colorful tattoos.

Mary Jo is survived by her four children, Molly and husband Jerramie Ethredge, Megan Lantz (Scott Dittmer), Emily Lantz, and Rachael Lantz, all of Spokane, WA.

Her grandchildren Lilly and Zoe Dittmer, Dakota Lantz, Owen Lantz-Maloney and Olivia Keen also of Spokane.

Sister Phillis Elliott of Port Angeles, WA, and brother Jon Meyers of Anacortes, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Amalia and Richard Meyers and her brother Nick Meyers of Spokane.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 2pm in the New Hope Baptist Church located at 409 S. Greene St. Reverend Happy Watkins will be officiating.

Contributions can be made to the MS Society and to the Spokane Humane Society.
