Obituary: Donovan, Winston Timothy “Tim”

Age 68

DONOVAN, Winston Timothy “Tim” Born June 27th, 1944 in Butte, Montana entered into eternal rest December 5, 2012.

He graduated from Butte Central in 1962, and moved to the San Francisco Bay area where he attended San Mateo College and went to work at State Farm Insurance.

He married Suzanne Schulz in 1969.

His first son, Sean was born in California in 1973 and the family moved to Yakima, where he worked for Farmers Insurance.

Their second son, Terry, was born in Yakima in 1976 and in 1977, they all moved to Spokane.

Once settled in Spokane they welcomed their two daughters Sheila in 1978 and Theresa in 1981.

Tim retired from State Farm in 2003.

Tim is survived by his wife Suzy; and four children: Sean (Teresa) Donovan, Terry Donovan, Sheila (Louis) Clausen, their two children Magdalene, and Louis, and Theresa (Jim) McCollum, two more grandchildren are expected in the spring.

He is also survived by his brother William (Butch) and sister in Law Dottie Donovan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in Death by his parents William and Jeanne Donovan and his sister Sharon (Charlie) McGee.

Tim was well known for his quick wit, one liners and funny stories.

Also, an avid sports fan he could always be counted on for a trivia question based on whatever team he was rooting for, at the time.

His sense of humor and laughter will always be remembered and carried on by the ones who loved him.

A vigil service with recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 4pm at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life with be held at 10:00 on Monday, December 10th, 2012 at St. Thomas More Church, 505 W. St. Thomas More Way, Spokane.

A private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
