Obituary: Bolstad, Ralph Otto


BOLSTAD, Ralph Otto

Ralph Otto Bolstad born January 20, 1938 in Evanston IL was entered into rest August 26, 2012.

He spent most of his life working as an automotive mechanic in and around Spokane WA from 1966 to present.

He was a walking automotive encyclopedia and able to diagnose a car over the phone.

He was also a certified GM mechanic and one time instructor in Tigard, OR at the GM school.

In the late 80’s and 90’s he worked as a supervisor at the Boeing Everett plant building planes.

He loved spending time with family and friends, fishing and camping.

He spent many years involved with the Moose, Son’s of Norway and Eagles Lodge and was very generous with his time.

His passion was working on cars, racing and Nascar.

Survived by sons Danny, Cecil, Hans and Jesse.

Also ex-wife Bartha, and friends Linda and Robbie.

Many grandkids and great-grandkids as well as ‘adopted’ family members.

Ralph was always opening his heart and home to others.

He will be missed by all.

Family services will be held Friday, August 31, 2012, 1pm.
