Current generation selfish

U.S. fiscal gap now $222 trillion – even though our current debt is only $15 trillion.

The fiscal gap is the total difference between future spending and revenue – in today’s dollars. It is all of our government liabilities – like interest on debt to Treasury bonds or other government programs, such as paying for food stamps or buying drones, minus the taxes available to pay for all.

It is unfortunate we are selfish enough to put this debt on future generations. Some rely on politicians to fix this, but our current politicians are part of the problem – and so are we. Some continue to vote their ideology, regardless of the future, and should be ashamed.

Someday, all will find out just how selfish this generation was when the bills come due.
