Dad was born in Belcourt, North Dakota, on August 7, 1922 to Gabe and Alvina Belgarde.
He passed away on August 12, 2012 in Spokane, WA.
Dad was a devoted Catholic who loved and served the Lord daily.
Dad was in the Marine Corp and served in WW II in two major campaigns; Palau and Okinawa.
His favorite saying was “ONCE A MARINE…
ALWAYS A MARINE!”
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane and sister Ruth Soloman.
He leaves behind 4 children; two boys; Ted and Mickey (Nancy) Belgarde and two daughters; Toni (Ed) Mitchell and Dani Teal.
He will be greatly missed by his 8 grand- children and 16 great-grandchildren.
A Vigil will be held at the Convent of Holy Names, 2911 W Fort Wright Dr. at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 17th and a Funeral Mass will held at the Convent of Holy Names on Saturday at 4:00 pm on August 18th.
Interment will be held at 11:15 am on Monday, August 20th, at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery, 21702 W Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, WA.
