She would hurt kids

In recent campaign ads, Cathy McMorris Rodgers talks of reducing “reckless government spending” so “our children” will not be saddled with the government deficit, and then tries to fortify her stand by stating, “As a mother, I won’t let this happen.”

Yet she voted to increase military spending by reducing the budget for Medicaid and the food stamp program. She also vowed not to increase the taxes on the wealthy, which would reduce the deficit. So who is she referring to as “our children?” It certainly is not American children in need.
