Maybe Ichiro Suzuki should eat humble pie
With all due respect for the sport and talent of former Seattle Mariner Ichiro Suzuki, John Blanchette’s suggestion of making him a chief executive officer – really? All of the praise and copious amounts of money franchises pay for the talent, and after how many years he has been a Mariner, he still needs a translator for an interview? What does that say to the American profile? What sort of respect does Ichiro show the money-paying sports enthusiast of an iconic all-American pastime? My doubt grows that he likes apple pie, or has even taken a bite unless he didn’t pay for it. It’s probably not in his league.
