Dems playing politics

Editorial writer Mary Sanchez, in “Republicans’ priorities askew,” accuses Republicans of playing partisan politics in their refusal to pass critically needed cybersecurity legislation. She neglects to note that key Republicans had an understanding with Sen. Joe Lieberman, the author of the bill, to make needed changes during the August break. This would have assured passage of the bill into law with bipartisan support.

Instead, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid forced a vote so the Democrats could accuse Republicans of partisan politics. Ms. Sanchez, either wittingly or otherwise, has aided the Democrats in doing exactly what she accuses the Republicans of doing.
