Obituary: Bennett, Wade

Age 49

BENNETT, Wade
(Age 49)

Passed away on July 12, 2012.

Wade was born in Spokane, Washington, on January 17, 1963 and graduated from North Central High School in 1982.

Following his graduation, Wade headed north to Alaska to become a commercial fisherman (Deadliest Catch).

He then moved to Ketchikan, Alaska.

Most recently, Wade was a caregiver for an elderly hospice patient.

It was with this job that Wade’s true love and compassion for others became evident.

His patience, love and gentle nature were a gift for his patient, the patient’s family and an inspiration to all whose lives he touched.
Wade is survived by his father, Terry Bennett; sisters Thama Bennett and Devin Bennett; and his true love, Lori Higgins.
Wade’s passions were nature, animals and Alaska.

He was also an avid hiker and cyclist.

Wade had many gifts; his artistic ability and his poetic and romantic nature were evident in all he wrote.

Wade had the spirit of an eagle, the heart of a lion and the love and compassion of a lamb.

He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held on Mt.

Spokane, Sunday, August 12, 2012, 6:00 PM.
