Obituary: Frisbee, Lloyd Eugene

Lloyd was an aeronautical engineer, violinist, artist, craftsman, innovator, athlete and fisherman.
Born of Clarence and Hazel (Sherburne) Frisbee, Great Falls, MT, he died at his home in Spokane, WA.
All that Lloyd did, he did with excellence.
He was a devoted husband, an encouraging father, and a loyal friend-an example of honesty, integrity and perseverance with an un-ending zest for life.
Raised in Cut Bank, Montana, boyhood heroes were Charles Lindberg and Jascha Heifetz.
Lloyd’s education: Julliard School of Music, NY, Montana State University for Engineering Physics and University of Washington for Aerospace Engineering.
His career began with Boeing, Seattle, continued with Northrop Aircraft Co., Los Angeles, CA; Lockheed-Marietta, GA Company; and Lockheed-California Company.
Lloyd was consistently concerned with safety-the air-worthiness of a craft.
Lloyd was nominated by TWA for National Medal of Science in 1977.
Applications of his engineering exist in the B-47 and 747.
In 1991, the University of Washington honored Lloyd Frisbee with an Engineering Alumnus Achievement Award.
Lloyd’s work and interests took him to Russia, China, England, Scotland, Australia, Mexico and across the USA.
He had wonderful stories to share.
Brothers, for whom he had great affection, Selden Sherburne Frisbee of Cut Bank, MT, and Donald Otis Frisbee of Houston, TX, predecease Lloyd.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Peggie (Anderson) Frisbee; daughter Alice Frisbee (Molnar); daughter Eugenie Higbee; son, Blake Frisbee.
Grandchildren: Kendra (Egge) Wilde, Nicole (Egge) Fulton, Ashkelon Sain and Daniel (Sain) Frisbee, and seven great grand children.
He will be sorely missed.
