Today, we put more focus on health
Welcome to a new Today.
I’m pleased to introduce you to Today/Live Well, with an expanded emphasis on healthy living. Every Tuesday, in addition to the features readers love – puzzles, advice columns, television listings and comics – we’ll bring you an array of stories about health and wellness. This week, we look at bariatric surgery. Next week, yoga for seniors. Beyond that, nutrition, exercise, aging, therapies and safety are but a few of the topics we will cover for you here.
Don’t worry, The Slice isn’t going anywhere. Dr. Alisa Hideg’s House Call column will continue its rotation with the Endnotes column by Rebecca Nappi and Catherine Johnston. The Ask Doctor K column will alternate with Miss Manners on page 2 of the section, running Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. And the popular People’s Pharmacy column will take up residence every Tuesday inside the section. Readers also will find a calendar of community events – from blood pressure checks to Zumba classes. Please feel free to send any comments or story suggestions to me at carolynl@spokesman.com.
