BRYANT,
Harold “Buzz”

Harold “Buzz” Bryant, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at Rockwood Retirement Home on March 24, 2012.

He was born in Philadelphia to Carlotta and Harold Bryant and was the second of four children.

His early love of nature led him to be active in scouting and eventually earn the level of Eagle Scout.


He began college at Penn State as a forestry major, and enlisted in the Navy during the war serving as a Marine pilot in the Pacific and Korea.

Flying Corsairs in the Pacific he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross seven times.

Returning to civilian life he joined the Prudential Insurance Company, where he worked for 50 years, working in Philadelphia, Connecticut and Colorado.

He moved to Spokane in 1999.

Buzz loved all outdoor activities including gardening, hiking and backpacking.

Through mentoring young people, he continued to share his interests.

We will miss his great home cooked dinners.
Buzz’s love of people and contagious enthusiasm for life left behind a legacy of love and fun.

He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by Fran, his wife of 66 years, five children Tom (Tamara) Bryant of Spokane, WA, Jeanne (Ned) Walker of Aspen, CO, Steve Bryant of the Blue Ridge Mountains, VA, Maureen (Dan) Lawry of Boulder, CO, and Mike (Beth) Bryant of Pueblo, CO, 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 16 at 10:00 at the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, 6910 South Ben Burr Road followed.
