Hill’s Restaurant featured Monday on Fieri show

Hill’s Restaurant will be featured on the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” on Monday.

Chef Dave Hill’s pulled pork sandwich and a dish made with his homemade pasta and homemade pancetta will be highlighted in the program hosted by Guy Fieri.

Hill said the pasta dish has not been on the restaurant’s menu previously, but is being added.

It and the pork sandwich will be featured at a special celebration Monday beginning at 4 p.m. at the downtown restaurant, 401 W. Main Ave., which usually is closed on Mondays. There will be happy hour prices all night and Hill plans to record the show and play it through the evening.

“Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” airs at 9 p.m. on the Food Network, though an East Coast feed is available on some satellite and high-definition cable channels at 6 p.m. PST.

Fieri visited several local restaurants over the summer. Segments featuring the Elk Public House and Chaps in Spokane and Capone’s Pub and Grill in Coeur d’Alene already have aired.
