Obama gains from debates
The GOP is striving for the candidate with sufficient character and the “right” policies for presidency. But, Sarah Palin was a quitter as governor and only imitated candidacy. Gov. Rick Perry considered seceding from the Union, lasting not 16 minutes. Mitt Romney’s not the right kind of Christian. Herman Cain let his “false and unproven” accusers decide for him. Ron Paul is too far-out for the GOP.
None of the GOP’s best has the character sufficient to weather attacks and keep policy above personality; like President Barack Obama. He’s proved to have the character to survive being broadly attacked as a Christian radical, Muslim terrorist, illegal alien, madrasa-attending, communist, elite white-hater.
The GOP insists on character but cannot find sufficient in its own ranks. The only thing preliminarily qualifying the above characters for candidacy was pledging to the same economic policies of corporate America that created the Bush recession that began in 2007 (long before Obama).
As the GOP’s best candidates rotate through the top, the party is winning. With every debate and press conference they get prime-time opportunity to present as credible the very same failed corporations-first policies that comprised the all-but-forgotten (and never mentioned by the GOP) Bush presidency.
