Proud of local teams

Would you believe someone when they said they were proud to be in their city because their sports teams have done so well in the past three years? Well, I am one of them. I am absolutely impressed with the way our sports in Spokane have represented us.

The Spokane Chiefs, Spokane Indians, our Spokane Shock, and most well-known, the Gonzaga basketball teams – both the women’s and men’s – stand for Spokane in a great way.

The Spokane Chiefs have won the Memorial Cup, the Indians have won not only their division multiple times but they have also become champions, and our Spokane Shock, have won the championship two years in a row.

Our Gonzaga basketball teams have stepped it up and been in the big tournament every year. This is a huge step up for the women’s team especially.

If you cannot say becoming champions and winning a division is a great way to symbolize Spokane, then what is? Let us get out there and support and care about our sports as they help the city out.
