Missoula may allow urban wind turbines

MISSOULA – The Missoula City Council plans to consider an ordinance allowing urban windmills to be built within city limits to generate power for individual households. The most recent draft of the ordinance limits the height of wind turbines to no taller than heights allowed in the zoning district. City officials say residents who want a taller wind turbine would have to get a special use permit
