Misdirected outrage

Outrage is good. But don’t blame the S-R for showing upfront and personal the consequences of an outrageous state law that penalizes our mental care facilities for having too many patients.

It is outrageous the many individuals turned out without the tools to cope.

It is outrageous the magnitude of problems law enforcement and rescue teams encounter involving mentally ill people.

What is totally outrageous is that we, as a society, have allowed this to happen, then chastise the paper for reporting and the police for protecting.
