Wall Street reveals itself

The Spokesman-Review

As a longtime investor in the stock market, through retirement accounts, college funds, as well as dabbling in it on my own, I have often suspected that average investors such as myself exist only as a pool from which the fat cats can skim profits and remove wealth. At least that is what my portfolio seems to suggest.

Wall Street’s reaction to proposals to increase consumer protection for the average investor, along with an accompanying dip in stock market values, serves as confirmation of my suspicions.
