Less crime, smaller government
There isn’t enough jail/prison space or fiscal resources to keep everyone incarcerated who should be by law. The answer is to abate the influence of vice mongers (porn, tobacco and alcohol, gaming and gambling) from the activities that are known to contribute to delinquency of minors and adults.
At present we are taxing vices to increase the size of government. In this system we have a modicum of crime safety net, but assurance that crime will increase, because it is condoned. Vice business pays revenue to fund government entities that make it look as if we are safe and in control.
If, instead, we prosecute vice toward curbing crime, crime will diminish. But so will the size of government diminish. In short, if we are resolved to be a GODly people who are well governed in the divine guidance of Christ, we can both: successively reduce the savagery of crime and buy ourselves relief from the intrusions of overgrown secular-humanist government. We will be getting back to family basics. And yet be peaceful and prosper.
This is the job our county prosecutor is asking for. I think David Stevens would be best for finding the feasibilities of this.
