Cruise accepts it once again
Tom Cruise is starring in another impossible mission.
Cruise will be back in front of the camera for “Mission: Impossible IV,” due in theaters over Memorial Day weekend in 2011, Paramount Pictures announced.
Cruise and “Mission: Impossible III” director J.J. Abrams previously agreed to produce a fourth movie in the action franchise, but it had not been known if Cruise would star again.
The project reunites Cruise and Paramount, which cut him loose from a long-term development deal in 2006.
Going the extra Miley
Miley Cyrus has organized an online auction to benefit the relief effort in Haiti, with donations from the likes of Britney Spears, Hugh Jackman, Ellen DeGeneres, Julianne Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and Demi Lovato.
Cyrus is donating several items, including the Herve Leger dress she wore to the 2010 Grammy Awards. Fans can also bid on Spears’ 2008 MTV Video Music Awards dress and a set visit to Jackman’s new film.
The auction, to benefit the American Red Cross, runs through Feb. 18 at www.ebay.com/miley.
Sincerest form of lunacy
Jessica Alba says she’s distressed by Internet reports about a Chinese woman who’s having plastic surgery to look like the actress in hopes of getting her lover back.
“I think you should never have to change yourself like that,” Alba said. “If somebody loves you, they’ll love you no matter what.”
