Hearing delayed for man charged in attack
A judge has postponed a preliminary hearing for a North Idaho man who police say attacked a Bayview family with a hammer and kitchen knife, killing one and injuring three others.
Larry W. Cragun, of Bayview, made an appearance Tuesday in Idaho’s 1st District Court, where Judge Clark A. Peterson ruled a preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday would be delayed at least a month.
The 31-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree attempted murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and burglary.
Patricia Heath, 43, died a day after the Dec. 19 attack.
Meanwhile, a fund to help the attack’s survivors, Yvonne Wallis and Michael Heath, has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank, 204 W. Hayden Ave., in Hayden.
