Men stealing rug caught on video

Spokane police are looking for help identifying two men who stole from a thrift shop. Surveillance video shows the men removing the rug, which is worth more than $750, from a wall of the Northwest Christian Thrift Shop, 6607 N. Maple St., about 1:15 p.m. Saturday. The thieves then leave in an older model, four-door Chrysler sedan that was silver or dark gray. Proceeds from the thrift shop support Northwest Christian Schools and community activities. All items are donated. Video shows one man wearing a leather jacket, light-colored pants and a yellow bucket hat and the other man in a black-and-white striped stocking hat, dark pants and a light-blue plaid jacket. Police say the men each face a felony theft charge. Anyone with information on their identities is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233. View the video online at www.spokesman.com/blogs/sirens.
