Polar Adventure Workshops – For ages 3-5. Participants take an enchanted journey to the Arctic Circle and make fun crafts along the way. Winter Wonderland of Fun Camps – For ages 6-11. Participants celebrate the winter holidays with activities, games and crafts. Arctic Day, Monday; North Pole Day, Tuesday; Winter Fest, Wednesday. Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre Classes - Cabaret Class: For ages 16 and older. Class covers interpretation, lyric reading and performance presentation. Students should bring at least two contrasting songs from any genre to work on during the session. An accompanist is provided. Jan. 5, 6-9:30 p.m., $60. Auditioning Workshop: For ages 3-5. Learn the nuts and bolts of auditioning for a professional or community theater, including pictures, résumés, what to wear and how to prepare for an audition. Students will perform for Artistic Director Roger Welch. Participants should bring sheet music for two songs, roughly 16 bars each. Feb. 5, 2-5 p.m., $35. Master Audition Class: For ages 16 and older. Class starts with a question-and-answer session, followed by each actor performing for Artist Director Roger Welch using their prepared material in a group format. Also covers pictures and résumés, what to wear and how to prepare. Participants should bring sheet music for two songs, roughly 16 bars each. Feb. 12, 2-5 p.m., $45. February Visual Arts Tour – Seeking participation from local galleries, studios, alternative spaces and businesses for the self-guided art walk Feb. 4-5. Registration and images, along with a check for $35, must be mailed or delivered to Spokane Art Supply, 1303 N. Monroe St., Spokane, WA 99201 by 5 p.m. on Jan. 7. Registration forms and applications are available at spokanearts.org/hottopics.aspx and at downtownspokane.net; paper forms are available at Spokane Art Supply, Chase Gallery and Pottery Place Plus.
