Attack on Siddoway unfounded

In her letter in the Aug. 7 newspaper, Ms. Durkee appears to suggest that appellate Justice Laurel Siddoway, who is seeking to retain her position, makes decisions on the basis of ideology rather than the facts and the law. But Ms. Durkee cites no specific examples from Ms. Siddoway’s exemplary career as an attorney and judge to support this accusation.

Accordingly, it is nothing more than a smear and a cheap shot. Perhaps Ms. Durkee is attempting to distract voters from considering which candidate has the best credentials. I have practiced law in Spokane County for more than 20 years, and Ms. Siddoway wins that contest hands down.
