A Deer Park woman was in satisfactory condition after being extracted from her convertible, which was pinned under a semitrailer during a collision on Interstate 90 on Tuesday afternoon.
Eastbound lanes of I-90 were closed for a time near Splashdown Waterpark in Spokane while the scene of the 2:18 p.m. crash was cleared.
Kathleen Schroeder, 49, was driving a Chrysler Sebring in the center lane when a tractor-trailer driven by Martin Gross, 60, pulled in front of her from the outside lane, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Schroeder veered left to avoid striking the tractor-trailer and lost control of her car, which wedged under the semitrailer.
She was taken by ambulance to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center where she was expected to be released Tuesday evening. Gross was cited for an improper lane change.
