Pines/Mansfield reopening Tuesday

A grand reopening of the Pines Road/Mansfield Avenue/ Interstate 90 interchange area will be Tuesday at 6 a.m.

The reopening marks the completion of the recent construction project that included modifications to I-90 on- and off-ramps that used to feed directly onto and off of Pines Road. The new ramp configurations have significantly smoothed traffic through the area and signals have been timed to accommodate the new routing pattern.

Modifications were also made to traffic coming west along Montgomery Avenue to access Pines. Traffic heading east along Montgomery has been rerouted onto the improved Mansfield Avenue through a new roundabout at the intersection of Montgomery, Wilbur Road and Mansfield, thus reducing the levels of traffic at the Pines, Montgomery and Indiana Avenue intersection.
