CVSD board to meet today

The Central Valley School District Board of Directors will have a special meeting at 2 p.m. today to discuss district topics. The meeting will be at the Learning and Teaching Center, 19307 E. Cataldo Ave.

Also the board will discuss new sex education curriculum during its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Learning and Teaching Center. The curriculum is in response to a new state law that requires safe-sex practices to be taught along with abstinence.

There will be a time for public comment during the meeting. The issue is not scheduled for a vote until the Oct. 13 board meeting. Call 228-5400 for more information.
