St. George’s puts on a show

Students at St. George’s School, 2929 W. Waikiki Road, will perform the musical “Godspell” on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, at 7 p.m. in the Founders Theater at the school.

An exhibit of school-owned prints by 20th century artists such as Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp and Joan Miro will be on display in the school’s Art Gallery. The opening reception for the exhibit will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The exhibit will run through Oct. 10.

Tickets for “Godspell” are $5 for general admission and $3 for students and 65 and older. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time in the Upper School office or at the door. Reserved seating is not available.

Winery to hold fundraiser

Community Frameworks will host a community fundraiser at Lone Canary Winery, 109 S. Scott St., on Sept. 18 to educate the public on community housing efforts.

The event will include wine tasting by winemaker Mike Scott and hors d’oeuvres.

A short program, “Building Vibrant Communities,” will highlight the nonprofit Community Frameworks’ local affordable housing and homeownership activities and will feature local project partners and new homeowners who have benefited from the organization’s efforts.
