Tip leads to meth bust
An anonymous tip led police to two pounds of methamphetamine bound for a Spokane home this week.
Four men – Ryan M. Hoffman, 30; Chad M. Anderson, 30; Joshua A. Swaney, 27; and Todd W. Tharp, 46 – face drug charges after police found the meth, about 50 Ecstasy pills and small amounts of marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms in Hoffman’s car and in a black bag Tharp had left at 5919 N. Atlantic Ave.
Spokane police searched Hoffman’s white Chevrolet pickup truck Monday after someone told the Washington State Patrol that Hoffman was leaving Ritzville with two pounds of meth.
Police arrested him for violating his probation by leaving the county. They found meth in his truck, then more drugs in the black bag, according to a search warrant.
The bag is being fingerprinted to determine who will face charges, Detective Kevin Langford said.
