Marlins 3, Diamondbacks 1: At Miami, the Marlins scored their first run on a suicide squeeze, Ricky Nolasco allowed only three hits over seven innings and Florida beat Arizona, handing Brandon Webb his first loss of the season.

Astros 5, Cubs 3: At Houston, Shawn Chacon pitched seven solid innings for his first win this season, snapping his major league-record streak of nine straight no-decisions to start a season as the Astros topped Chicago.

Braves 11, Mets 4: At Atlanta, Jeff Francoeur homered and drove in four runs to help the Braves beat New York.

Phillies 12, Nationals 2: At Washington, Ryan Howard went 3 for 5 with two home runs and a double and four RBIs as Philadelphia routed the Nationals.

Brewers 4, Pirates 1: At Pittsburgh, Ben Sheets held Pittsburgh to one run despite allowing 11 hits in his second complete game of the season, and Rickie Weeks homered as Milwaukee beat the Pirates.

Giants 3, Rockies 2 (10): At Denver, Omar Vizquel doubled to start a game-tying rally in the ninth and then drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th, leading San Francisco over Colorado.

Dodgers 5, Reds 2: At Los Angeles, Hiroki Kuroda pitched eight solid innings and the Dodgers scored four of their runs on a wild pitch, a suicide squeeze, a passed ball and a bad pickoff throw to beat Cincinnati.

Cardinals 11, Padres 3: At San Diego, Ryan Ludwick and Troy Glaus both drove in three runs to lead St. Louis to a victory over the Padres.
