FlipSides good combo of cracker and pretzel
It’s a cracker with a secret identity. Flip over the new Townhouse crackers and you’ll find a pretzel.
Townhouse FlipSides Pretzel Crackers got a hearty welcome from many of our food panel tasters.
“Great airy crunch with just the right amount of salt,” said Skip Hubbard. “Great for parties, picnics and days at the lake.”
“I love the salty flavor in this cracker,” said Peggy Kazanis. “A great combo with cheese.”
Vicki Deschaine liked the idea, too. “A pleasant yin and yang of cracker and pretzel flavors. I can think of lots to do with these.”
Some thought the crackers were a bit dry on their own, but that a dip might be the perfect antidote.
“Nice shape and crunch,” said Nancy Robinson. “Kind of dry.”
Tina Johnson wasn’t taken in by the cracker’s alter ego. “Pretty boring cracker. Really, how many ways can you make a small cracker?”
Andy Hoye wasn’t convinced either. “Looks like it might be interesting – but it’s not,” he said.
Overall, the panel members gave the new crackers three and a half stars on our five-star scale. Townhouse FlipSides are also sold in Cheddar flavor. The 11.7-ounce box sells for $2.49.
