Rockies 6, Marlins 5 (11): At Denver, Ryan Spilborghs’ two-run single off Kevin Gregg with one out in the 11th inning rallied Colorado to a win over Florida. Spilborghs sent a 1-2 fastball into the left-center gap to send the crowd of 48,084 – the Rockies’ first sellout since Opening Day – home happy.
Giants 8, Cubs 3: At San Francisco, Tim Lincecum increased his league-leading strikeout total to 122 with eight in six innings and also singled in a run and scored, helping San Francisco salvage a four-game split with Chicago.
Mets 11, Cardinals 1: At St. Louis, Jose Reyes’ bases-clearing triple keyed a six-run third that included pitcher Mike Pelfrey’s first RBI and New York routed St. Louis.
Reds 5, Nationals 3: At Cincinnati, Brandon Phillips had three hits and three RBIs and Cincinnati capitalized on an error to rally for a win over Washington.
Diamondbacks 6, Brewers 5: At Phoenix, Conor Jackson hit the winning two-run single as Arizona rallied from a five-run, ninth-inning deficit to defeat Milwaukee. Three Brewers pitchers failed to record an out as seven straight Diamondbacks reached base in the ninth.
Dodgers 5, Astros 2: At Houston, Chad Billingsley pitched eight strong innings and Andre Ethier homered for the second straight game to lead Los Angeles over Houston.
