I-90 off-ramp to close tonight

To help alleviate traffic congestion after the Lake Coeur d’Alene fireworks show, the city’s Police Department will close the Interstate 90 off-ramp at Northwest Boulevard from 8 to midnight tonight.

Traffic will continue to flow into Coeur d’Alene on the Highway 95 and 15th Street off-ramps.

“When we’ve left this off-ramp open in the past, drivers thought they could get into the downtown area,” said streets superintendent Tim Martin. “With all the street closures, it’s impossible to get into the downtown area at this time on July Fourth. It’s better that drivers take the off-ramp at Highway 95 or 15th Street.”
